Where to Buy Peptides

PeptideFox's Perspective on Sourcing

Sourcing RUO (research-use-only) peptides can be a minefield. PeptideFox’s bias is toward safety and accountability — many vendors claim they are RUO compliant without meeting the regulatory criteria. The explosive popularity of peptides has brought out unsavory actors in pursuit of commercial opportunity. As highly unstable and delicate products, the manufacturing process, product handling, and verifiable third-party testing records are paramount.

According to [Finnrick’s] testing, my order of MOTS-c, from the Ultimate Human, was ninety-eight per cent pure and contained eighty-seven per cent of the dose on its label.

All the peptides I’d ordered from SwissChems had significant issues. The vial of BPC-157 contained lead, the vial of TB-500 contained endotoxins, and the vial of CJC-1295 contained less than forty-two per cent of the advertised dose.

The New Yorker

There is an inherent risk of utilizing social-media based vendors running operations out of China, with or without U.S. warehouses. With anonymity on their side, these vendors lack a regulatory or legal incentive to provide research-grade products, or even provide what is being marketed. We respect the community driven efforts to form 3rd-party-testing groups to hold vendors accountable, but that has limited reach. A vendor could ship out bad-batches, shut down operations, and reappear as a new vendor. The most obvious red-flag is any solicitation — on Discord, Telegram, or Reddit — and should be avoided.

There is another tier of vendors operating out the United States, some of whom are also manufacturing domestically. These should be treated with scrutiny as well — some use opaque language, whether it be "USA" in their branding, or state "U.S. Based" without explicitly saying where the products are manufactured. Vendors who do in-house testing, lack recent records, or have discrepancies in their posted lab results are candidates for scrutiny.

What to Verify

  1. Verifiable purity >99% lab reports

Match the lot # on the testing provider’s website, and confirm both purity >99% through the testing lab’s verification portal. When verifying a batch, check the date — reports should be relatively recent — and ensure the vendor’s name is listed as the client.

  2. Peptide quantity accurately represented

Purity percentage does not establish how much peptide the vial contains. Verify the amount of peptide in the vial against the lab reports — most vendors round to the nearest 5/10 multiple, which can impact dosing (e.g., lab report shows 8.9 mg or 12.5 mg for a 10mg vial — a 10% underfill or 25% overfill).

  3. Verifiable endotoxin lab reports

Confirm the lot has an endotoxin report that can be verified through the issuing lab. Endotoxin testing answers a separate question from purity and quantity. Heavy metal tests may sometimes be provided in conjunction with endotoxin reports.

  4. Historical batches shown

Look for a continuing batch archive, not one sample report. The archive should show lot numbers and testing dates, and not have discrepancies (i.e. ensure historic batches have the vendor listed as the client, batches are not skipped, etc).

  5. Physical address listed

A real U.S. business address gives you a legal entity to verify and contact. No physical address is a warning signal — indicative of improper compliance or avoiding it outright, if not misrepresentation. It is an accountability signal, not what makes a vendor research-use-only compliant.

  6. Manufactured in the United States

Look for both manufacturing and fulfillment in the United States. Shipping from a US warehouse does not establish where the peptide was made. Products manufactured or directly sourced from China have zero regulatory oversight — with additional concerns about the vendor testing products directly or simply appropriating tests from their supplier.

Aminos Research

Shipping: FedEx 2-day

Verified

Aminos Research is an RUO compliant vendor. PeptideFox has confirmed their products are manufactured in the U.S. via a virtual tour of their facility. Current and historic 3rd party lab tests are listed in their CoA library for purity + quantity, along with endotoxin reports for each product. All current and historical products are >99% purity. Aminos Research, somewhat uniquely, labels the quantity of their products accurately per batch (i.e., as 9.8 mg per lab tests, rather than 10mg). Lab reports

Biotech Peptides

Shipping: USPS Priority Mail

Biotech Peptides is registered in the U.S. and manufactures their own products. However, they do in-house testing with no third party validation — therefore, we are unable to accept their lab results. In addition, historic batch tests are not provided and quantities are listed as rounded values, rather than representative of measured batch quantity. We are unable to ascertain whether Biotech Peptides is RUO compliant but have significant doubts based on the lack of 3rd party testing.

Elite Research USA

Shipping: USPS 3-5 Business Days

Elite Research USA is opaque. No address listed, no description of sourcing or manufacturing — failing the basic requirements of RUO compliance. As is the case with most vendors, their products are listed with rounded quantities (e.g. 10 mg), rather than the quantity measured in lab-testing. Some products have endotoxin reports, while others do not. No historical reports are shown.

Honest Peptides

Shipping: UPS or FedEx Ground

Honest Peptides is opaque, claiming sources are a mix of domestic and international suppliers, with no U.S. address listed — failing the basic criteria for valid RUO designation. Concerningly, a number of 3rd party lab tests posted alongside certain products list the client as "Anonymous" — providing no validation that the 3rd party tests are representative of their own products. Like many vendors, they list products as "10mg" or "20mg", rather than accurately listing the quantity contained per lab tests for any given batch — which can lead to mis-dosing. Lab reports

Limitless Biotech

Shipping: Multiple Options

Limitless Biotech states they are U.S. manufactured products, but do not provide a physical address. In addition, their product marketing directly states purity of ">98.5%" bringing up concerns about manufacturing practices and quality. In investigating the validity of their 3rd party lab tests, we found a troubling pattern — certain products show a link for a purity test, but the URL routes to a repeat of an endotoxin test (e.g. TB-500). Many show test reports conducted more than 6 months ago. And a subset of purity reports do not show any quantity of peptide measured (e.g. AOD-9604) — more egregious than vendors listing a rounded amount (e.g. 10 mg) while lab tests provide the correctly measured amount for the batch, as there is no way to correctly dose a vial.

Protide Health

Shipping: UPS Priority 2-3 Day

Protide Health is unusually transparent about 3rd party tests, with an easy-to-navigate library of results. All current and historic products tested at >99% purity with "pass" ratings for endotoxins. While they have a U.S. address listed, their site simply states "Proudly U.S. based" rather than U.S. manufactured. In addition, like nearly every vendor, quantity is rounded on product labels, which may lead to inaccurate dosing. Lab reports

Verified Peptides

Shipping: FedEx 2-day

Verified Peptides, in spite of the name, fails to provide any information about sourcing or manufacturing — failing the basic criteria for valid RUO designation. They do provide a mailing address in Miami, FL and full-historical testing reports. However, as is often the case, they list products with rounded quantities (e.g."10mg"), rather than accurately listing the quantity contained per lab tests for any given batch — which can lead to mis-dosing.
